Our customer is one of the world’s leading clinical trial laboratory services providers. With more than 9 million laboratory tests managed annually for clinical trials, they help biopharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics customers improve human health through innovation that transform science and data into actionable medical insights.
Our primary challenge was the timing. We were tasked with delivering a fully functioning web presence within a few months to meet a major announcement deadline. This site had to include advanced searching capabilities, personalization, integrations with marketing automation and customer resource management systems and a variety of web forms.
The branding and image development was outsourced to a Digital Marketing Agency selected by the customer.
To meet the aggressive timelines we used an agile development methodology and worked very closely with the agency to steer the design into web pages that could be implemented efficiently and leverage the out-of-the-box functionality in Sitecore. AccessECM implemented a data-driven Sitecore architecture which allowed the customer to utilize the Sitecore personalization features to their full capacity. To further reduce development time, Sitecore components that were developed for a sister company was reused.
Not only was the initial site completed on-time and on-budget, subsequent improvements such as detailed reporting and monitoring required much less expense due to the original design. The current web site features many advanced elements including:
- Integrations with Eloqua for marketing automation and Salesforce for CRM using Sitecore Web Forms for Marketers module
- Sitecore profiles to build personas for target tailored offerings
- An adaptive PDF assets protection mechanism to capture qualified leads
- Integration with Brightcove for video on-demand
